Have a look in Audacity's "Transport" menu and ensure that "Software Playthrough" is not selected.

Re: Aup wont load data (no, putting both togheter won't work

Unfortunately the AUP file is totally corrupt. Have a look in "Users\<your user name>\AppData\Roaming\Audacity\AutoSave\" and see if there are any autosave files in there. Make a backup copy of any files that you find there and put them somewhere safe. Let us know what files/folders you fi...

Re: Is recording while listening to other media possible

In the device toolbar , ensure that you have the input that you are recording from selected as the recording device (NOT "sound mapper"). It may be marked as "Line In" or similar. In the Transport menu, ensure that "Software Playthrough" is off (not selected). In the Wi...

If you mute the sound coming through your PC, and you are recording the sound that is coming through your PC, won't you be recording silence?

Try using "File menu > Open", then select the AUP file. Does that work?

Re: Possible? Two mics into left and right channel into Auda

With ONE, you can record a single channel of audio
That's the key phrase.
To record two mics left and right, you need two channel recording.

Re: Setting Record Parameters?

I'm not sure how you got too loud. AdventureV is on Windows, which has a habit of boosting USB audio devices to silly levels. Look in the Windows Sound Control Panel and adjust the level for the USB mic in the "Recording" tab so that you get a level of about -6 dB in Audacity (Audacity ca...
