Re: Compatible USB Sound Card for use with Audacity
Yep, it's a standard AKG with 3 pin connection - not that you need to know that. That has nothing to do with the question - as I said, it's a simple question wanting a simple answer. Can you suggest a sound card that is compatible with Audacity? Yes or No? Sure I can recommend an inexpensive sound ...

Re: Release builds but wont run. Debug runs
We are up and running in Win 10 ! Woohoo. Excellent. Congratulations :P Not sure of these changes could really coexist in base Audacity - since I do actually change some base files (AudacityApp, Menus.cpp...) but if some people are really interested in a Rivendell Radio Playout interface, when it i...

Re: snap to won't turn off
Sounds like you want "Split Delete".
"Edit menu > Remove Special > Split Delete" (Alt+Ctrl+K)
You can find the full list of Edit menu commands here: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/edit_menu.html

Re: Audacity changes pitch of recorded MIDI file.
As you have the fluid synth plugin for VLC, you don't need to "record" the MIDI file. VLC can render it directly to a WAV file (or any other supported format). Select "Convert/Save" from the "Media" menu. Do you also have "fluid-soundfont-gm" installed? It is ...

Re: MakeAudacity always use an audio channel (PulseAudio)
Is there a way to make Audacity always occupy a stream? The short answer, no, though this is something that 'may' happen in the future. I can't see your video as it is marked "private", but I'd guess that you may be able to resolve the problem by setting Audacity to use your sound card ha...

Re: Recording Several Tracks Simultaneously With 2 USB inter
2 channel recording is usually straightforward. There are many 2 channel USB microphone pre-amps that are USB audio class compliant, which means that they should work with most/all modern computers and software. These devices usually record at 16 bit / 44100 Hz (44.1 kHz) which is the "CD stand...

Re: Compatible USB Sound Card for use with Audacity
Do you know the model number of your AKG mic?
Does it have a 3 pin "XLR" connector? (if it has a detachable lead, then the connection at the microphone end is likely to be 3 pin XLR even if the other end of your lead isn't.
