No you're not. You're recording from the laptop's built-in "Realtek" microphone:

The same effects with the same settings to every track? Correct. Better to use a Macro to batch process the files. See here: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/macros.html (Don't forget to include an "Export as ..." command at the end of the macro). Give a shout if you get stuck ;)

Read the first paragraph, under the heading "Audio device info". It's a diagnostic tool built into Audacity that will hopefully enable us to diagnose the problem that you are experiencing.

Tell us more about what you're doing. Why do you have 498 tracks in the project?

Check to see if you are still able to do that. If you can then that helps to narrow down the possible causes of the problem.
