Re: Real time VST and undo effects

This is what I think you mean: You apply "effect 1", then "effect 2", then "effect 3". The history shows: * effect 1 * effect 2 * effect 3 To undo "effect 1" you need to undo "effect 3", then undo "effect 2", then undo "effect 1"....

Re: Opening files in the same window.

The rationale is a bit cryptic, but it goes like this: The "Save" and "Open" commands refer to Audacity's native "project" format (the .AUP file and "_data" folder). When you "open" an ordinary audio file, you are actually "opening" a new p...

Re: Software Playthrough delay

You need to turn off Software Playthough (because it is passing the audio via software, there will always be an unavoidable delay). Whether you can achieve latency free monitoring depends on your hardware. Most USB audio devices have latency free monitoring if you plug your headphones into the USB d...

(interpreter) Hello. Thanks for the answer. This sense of history in order not to cancel the effect of the latter, and to be able to cancel any effect. Without this feature, it is very difficult to do quality work. In the process, I want to reduce such an equalizer, and can not do, if there is no h...

Re: Noise Reduction on vinyl - no effect?

Sorry about the error in the manual. It has been corrected for the soon to be released Audacity 2.1.2 manual. The manual page for the Noise Reduction effect is here: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/noise_reduction.html For music I generally find that "Frequency Smoothing" set to 3 wor...

Re: usb turntable input to audacity 2.1.1

I presume that you posted in the Mac OS X forum by accident so I'll move this topic to the Windows forum. If the turntable is the only USB audio device connected to your computer, then "usb microphone" will be the correct input device. Look in the recording tab of the Windows Sound Control...

Is it already open in another window?
Have you tried closing down Audacity completely and rebooting your computer?
