Re: Audacity and Yeti Microphone
In Audacity, try "Transport menu > Rescan Audio Devices". Does that fix it? Audacity only looks for devices when Audacity is launched and when you manually "rescan". If for some reason the microphone was unavailable when Audacity was launched, then Audacity will not see it until ...

Re: Windows 10, Audacity V 2.0.3
Audacity 2.0.3 is ancient. The current version is Audacity 2.1.1 which you can get here: http://web.audacityteam.org/download/ When using a USB audio device, connect the device before you launch Audacity. Then select the required input and output devices from the device toolbar . You may also find s...

What is the file name that you are trying to use, and where are you trying to save the file? Do you have read/write access to that location?

Re: Crash when using "Manage" for effects etc. (2.1.1)
I use Sonic Visualiser for analysis, so I'd prefer not to have to alter my VAMP plugins as they work fine in SV. In that case you will need them to be disabled in Audacity. hmmmm, I don't have a pluginregistry.cfg Did you find the folder: Users\<user name>\AppData\Roaming\Audacity\ ? What files are...

Re: Exporting Labels
would like the ability to open an Audio (typically a lecture in FLAC format) and have the label track also open underneath at the same time. That may not be possible. "Labels Tracks" are a feature of "Audacity projects", so when you save a project, label tracks are saved in the ...

Re: How is "clipping" determined?
If a clip [RED] is displayed, I presume that you are referring to the vertical red lines (enabled in "View > Show Clipping") rather than the "Clip indicator" in the meters (http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/meter_toolbar.html). To save confusion, let's call them "red cli...

Re: Recording from android smartphone and usb microphone
Audacity can only record from one device at a time. When you plug you phone into the computer, it is plugged into the internal sound card. The internal sound card is one device. A USB mic is another device. Audacity cannot record from two devices at the same time. You could record from the phone fir...

Re: Where to find "Apply Chain" files?
But now, the resulting audio files in the "cleaned" folder don't have the -20% pitch change; instead, they're identical to the original files. Do you know what could be causing this? Perhaps you have the Chain items in the wrong order. The Export step must be the last step before "- ...

Re: when adding titles to tracks the recording disappeared
What security products are running on your computer? We've had a number of reports recently of security products such as McAfee, "eating" the project data files. If this happens, the project will play as silence and as soon as there is a refresh of the waveform graphic, the waveform become...
