I'm not very hopeful.
To clarify, are you able to record from the voice modem with anything other than your old "Advanced Phone Recorder" software?

Re: Recording telephone conversations via a USB Voice Modem
Sound recorder in Windows 7 is unbelievably basic, so I really couldn't tell you more with respect to it. It's extremely basic in XP too. That's what makes it such a good diagnostic tool. When I then go into XP's "Sound Recorder" and attempt to record, up pops a window stating "Anoth...

Re: Track muting
You can silence audio using "Edit menu > Remove Special > Silence Audio" (the keyboard shortcut is Ctrl+L). Silencing the audio by this method or with the Amplify will cause a click if the start or end of the selection are at a point where silencing will cause an abrupt change in the wavef...

Re: Audacity won't open
I'm having the same problem though on 10.9.4. I created the cfg file and now when I launch audacity still nothing happens. I just copied the code with text editor and saved as audacity.cfg. Delete the audacity.cfg file and then reboot. If there is no audacity.cfg file then Audacity will create one ...

Look in the Windows Sound Control Panel and ensure that the recording level is turned up. When the turntable is playing, you should see a green recording meter in the Windows Sound Control Panel.

Re: Downgraded to 2.0.3 to Overcome Static on Recent Version
I'm a bit surprised that it works set to 0, but if it is, then no need to change it. The default setting is 100. Modern Mac computers seem to like values less than 100. If the problem reoccurs, try tweaking that setting.

Re: Can't open project
As this is a new question, I've split it to a new topic. when I clicked on VORC008 it would load into Audacity. Now when I click on VORC008 it changes into "e00" It sounds like you are clicking on the _data folder rather than on the .AUP file. If you've not already done so, I'd recommend t...

Re: Recording telephone conversations via a USB Voice Modem
Are you able to set the modem as the default recording device in the Windows Sound Control Panel ? If you can, then are you able to record with "Sound Recorder" ? If that works, then Windows is treating the modem as a valid audio device, and Audacity should be able to use it. If Windows do...

Re: making the perfect loop
I've just noticed that you're using an old version of Audacity. You need the current Audacity 2.1.1 version for this feature.
