The way that I would test if the input is mono or stereo is to do koz's "touch test" http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic ... 88#p292488
Do you have a suitable lead to do that?

Re: Slim down the Click Track interface

Re: Recording plays a semitone low
What is the "Roland something-or-other"?
Does he still have the CD?
Why does he think that it is playing a semitone low?
If you put the recorded file on a USB stick and copy it to your computer, does it still play a semitone low?

Did you type that wrong? The Citronic AC-1USB interface should not be connected to the headphone socket of your computer.GreenColumbus wrote:I use a Citronic AC-1USB interface to connect my tape deck via the headphone socket to my Windows 10 OS note book.

Re: command to find loudest sample in selection, possible?
at the end (after extract-abs) I just have to make sure that starting position is the beginning of the selection and the end is the peak Yes. And for this purpose there is a very convenient feature about how Nyquist works with Audacity. As far as Nyquist is concerned, the start of the selection is ...

Re: command to find loudest sample in selection, possible?
If you get stuck, feel free to ask, but do read through what I've already posted - most of the information is already there, and if you can work out how to use it then you will be in a much better position to make your own tools when you need them (rather than relying on me

Re: Bug: default sample format ignored for imports
I think it needs a wiki proposal, though I don't feel very motivated to write one as it is not a "glamorous" proposal and it is extremely unlikely that it will ever get beyond the proposal stage. Realistically I think that the best we can do is to encourage users to always convert imported...

Re: command to find loudest sample in selection, possible?
Just possible to help me with a code for the opposite? => the loudest sample or peak (abs again) is cut, as is what comes afterwards in the selection (this time the loudest sample is also cut) This is my very last request : ) Have a look at "extract-abs" in the Nyquist manual - I think yo...

Just bumping for now.
I can't commit the updated version until after Audacity 2.1.2 has been released.
