Re: Waves DeBreath
Does it work in any of the officially supported host applications? http://www.waves.com/support/tech-specs/supported-hosts If not, you may need to go through their "registration" maze. There's still no guarantee that it will work with Audacity even if it is correctly installed and register...

Re: Waveform explained? (problem recording)
and then I would need a mic stand. You may have missed an important part of the job spec. I used a basic Zoom H1 using an infinite amount of gaffer tape to secure it to the roll cage and some foam padding to stop any vibration. It seems that BenUK wants the recording from the driver's perspective, ...

Re: Need a little help with setting up a Chain
I'm guessing that cyrano means "small diaphragm condenser microphone" and "large diaphragm condenser microphone". Note that cyrano is only stating his personal preference and that the comment "Less white noise, higher output and less room problems, imho" is only his per...

Re: Is it possible to even out the audio pitch?
The basic idea works for any sound, but in the case of "talking" it may be difficult or impossible to see any definite pitch - "talking in clearly defined pitch" is called "singing" ;) A tip: It's a bit harder to use, but the "Sliding Time Scale / Pitch Shift"...

Re: transferring talks on casette to digital via ezcap
With record levels I tried Ezcap vol down and Rec vol max but I think this adds hum. Could this happen? I've tried a compromise with levels on both. Yes, if you go too far one way you will get distortion, and too far the other way you will get noise (hiss / buzz). Compromise is the way to go. Using...

Re: Want one channel of stereo .wav to become BOTH channels
I want to create a 2-channel .wav file in which both channels contain the original recording's right channel. So the result will be "2 channel mono". Yes you can do that, but won't "1 channel mono" do? See here for how to split and join track channels: http://manual.audacityteam...

Re: Synching Tracks Exported to Studio One 3 Professional
The problem is probably due to a "quirk" in Audacity. If there is "empty space" at the start of the track, it is not included in the exported audio. If different tracks have different amounts of empty space at the start, then the exported tracks will be out of sync when imported ...

If you stretch this to double length
You get this:
