Re: Move some export preferences into export interface
Tell me what happens in your scheme if the user unchecks "Hide Metadata Editor" in the Export Multiple dialogue, It's not a checkbox. As I wrote in the first post, it is a multi-choice widget with three options: Metadata: Show Metadata Editor Hide Metadata Editor No Metadata What these op...

Re: Move some export preferences into export interface
The only obvious rename I see is File > Edit Metadata Tags... and that's an extra word so there may be objections... It's usually me that complains about long menu names, but "Edit Metadata Tags..." is still not particularly long, and I think the extra clarity would be worth it, so no com...

Re: compilation of audacity 2.1.2
Thanks toto56, Otherwise it is not compatible with ffmpeg-2.8.5 As it say in the manual http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/faq_installation_and_plug_ins.html#ffdown However, Audacity will work with some FFmpeg versions later than 2.3 if Audacity is compiled with the option: --disable-dynamic-loadi...

Re: Move some export preferences into export interface
I strongly disagree that it is intuitive for export multiple to have no way at time of export to prevent having to click OK on every single metadata screen. Re: Isolate selection of a recording
This is an easier way than using labels, except that instead of Pause then Edit > Select > Left at Playback Position and again Pause, Pause, Edit > Select > Right at Playback Position, don't do any pauses. Just press [ (left square bracket) on your keyboard when you hear "h" and press ] (...

Re: VS 2015, x64, and Code Cleanup
did I miss some way to show the same inside Audacity? Plot Spectrum: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/plot_spectrum.html I really don't have time to listen to a half hour lecture about why rand() is evil, but if you can present one real-world practical audio example that demonstrates the inadeq...

Re: Loss of sound
With the software installed I have no sound when using my music files with the Audacity software not in use. Please try explaining that in more words. I've now read it three times but sorry to say I still have no idea what you are trying to do or what equipment you are using, or what is happening, ...

Re: Isolate selection of a recording
It would help to make your posts more easily readable if you used paragraphs. One way to do the job... I open Alphabet and I want to make a copy of me saying the alphabet h through q. 1) Open the project. 2) Press "Play". 3) Get ready on the Ctrl and M keys. 4) When it gets to "h"...
