Re: Ctrl+scroll doesn't zoom in?
I'm on my iMac today, No problem. If you use more than one OS, you can leave your profile at whichever you use most frequently, but if you post a question about the other OS, it will save confusion if you mention in the post which machine you are on. Thanks very much for the reply! Did that fix it ...

Re: The strangest issue I've ever seen
I do have a 1gbit fiber connection but there may not be super fast fiber all the way between you, the discord server, and whoever else is in the session. I don't know all of the technicalities of discord, but it may throttle back the bandwidth use so that everyone in the session can keep up. Howeve...

Which exact version of Audacity are you using? (Look in "Audacity menu > About Audacity")

Re: The strangest issue I've ever seen
I can barely see that video as I don't have a big enough screen. However, from what I can see it looks like a sample rate mis-match problem. The recording speed was actually going at around 1/8th of the normal speed. Could it be 1/4 speed, or 1/5.437 speed? If so, then the problem would appear to be...

Which operating system are you using? (Your profile says Windows 10, but you have posted on the macOS board
)
If you are using a Mac, Hold down both ⌘ and Ctrl while using the scroll wheel.

Re: Forced drive type
Btw this FAT limitation issue is mostly a self resolving one since there's fewer and fewer FAT disks out there anyway (Win XP was released 20 years ago and it already used NTFS by default). So there is really no incentive for the Audacity developers to change the design of Audacity to support a 40 ...

Re: Audacity (Legacy) Version 1.1 System Requirements
Audacity has generally been targeted to work well on any average spec system of its day. For the 1.x series that would be Windows XP, and would "probably" work on Windows 98 (though I've not tested). For practical use I wouldn't bother with anything earlier than Audacity 1.2.6. That was th...

Re: Change volume of the original audio to the copy
Get a audio track and copy this one to a second track (with the same audio) Change the volume, to 10% higher and export to mp3 Why do you need to copy the audio rather than just change the volume and export? Which exact version of Audacity are you using? (look in "Help menu > About Audacity&qu...

Re: Resampling in Audacity 2.4.2
:idea: I wonder if there is any way the software could help clarify exactly what is going on Personally, what I'd like to see would be for the Project Rate to be the "default" sample rate for exported files, but for the sample rate to be shown in the Export dialog and allow users to overr...
