If I recall correctly that is an unsupported feature (I'll need to check).

Regarding a workaround, do you have any experience with Python? There's probably a Python solution (again I'd need to check).

Those LADSPA effects are obsolete, and many of them have bugs. Personally I use Audacity's built in effects for almost everything and rarely need to use additional plug-ins. There are loads of free VST effects available from KVR Audio . Note that Audacity on Windows currently requires 32-bit plug-in...

Where does the audio come from?

Note that a sound may be asymmetric without any DC offset. There's no reason why positive going peaks and negative going peaks have to be the same size.

What sort of "cymbols"?
Do you mean acoustic drum kit cymbals? If so, how have they been recorded? What is your mic set-up?

Which version of Audacity are you using? (look in "Help menu > About Audacity").

How long is the project ?
Where are you exporting to, and what name are you using for the exported file?

What microphone are you using, and how is it connected to your computer?

What are you trying to record?

I'm not sure what you mean. When I import an audio file into an empty project in Audacity 2.4.2 on macOS, the zoom level is automatically adjusted so that the audio fits in the window:

Try listening to some music that you are familiar with. Does that also sound muffled?
If so, you may have damaged the headphones rather than the mic.
