Re: Critical Nyquist Files
I've removed your email address because (a) we don't have the resources to provide personal email support (b) its a bad idea to post your email address on a public forum, especially one as busy as this one, as it is likely to attract a lot of unwanted spam. The problem is that you have not installed...

Re: ringmodwithLFO has a error message
That's not actually an "error" message, it's just a "message" (as it says at the top of the message). The message is a bit cryptic, but after you close and restart Audacity you should not be shown that message again, at least not for the ringmodwithLFO effect. It's nothing to wor...

Perhaps you would remind me where that text is on http://lame.cvs.sourceforge.net. Here in their " recommended user interface for developers including LAME in their apps. " http://lame.sourceforge.net/lame_ui_example.php http://lame.sourceforge.net/images/lame_ui_example.png More recent d...

Re: Lame settings [SOLVED]
The main point to me is that we can't make any sensible decision when there are so many use cases. Which is why I very much welcome the new Export dialog that exposes the MP3 settings when MP3 is selected (rather than 'hiding' them behind an "Options" button). A secondary point is we shou...

Re: 2.1.2 weirdness with spectral selection
Sure, but feel free to leave a summary list of the main points - that could be helpful if we need to write a formal proposal on the wiki (especially as you are QM).Gale Andrews wrote:Should we close this topic now this small group has agreed on the basic idea of an improvement for 2.1.3?

Re: Lame settings [SOLVED]
As I said elsewhere I think it was a mistake to change the default from constant bit rate, and probably a mistake to set the default above 128 kbps. LAME default is 128 kbps CBR (for a stereo track). That is what we should use as default, IMHO. I doubt that we will hear from the happy users that ar...

Re: 2.1.2 weirdness with spectral selection
Another peculiarity is that if you duplicate a track (select the track then Ctrl + D), the track, its audio and all its "properties" (track name, track view, gain, pan, envelopes...) are duplicated. There is one exception: track spectrogram settings. This 'looks' like a regression against ...

Re: Add silence from length
Unless the required length is the same for each file, I don't think there is any way that you can automate the process. Converting stereo to mono can be done as a batch process and exporting as WAV can, but changing the sample rate can't and adjusting the length to match another file can't. You can ...
