Re: bass limiter/compressor batch process help
No, Audacity does not have anything like that built in. To do that automatically would not be simple either. Currently you say that you are using mp3gain, which uses the "Replay Gain" algorithm to even out the track volume - that means that the playback level ("gain") is automati...

Re: Converting file to wav. form
For a standard 16-bit WAV file, there are no options. "WAV (Microsoft) signed 16-bit PCM" is just "WAV (Microsoft) signed 16-bit PCM". All you need to do for a standard WAV file is to select "WAV (Microsoft) signed 16-bit PCM" as the file type, select where to export it...

Re: Audacity seems to not play the last 0.2 seconds
However I could still play audio in Audacity while Goldwave was playing with an exclusive option chosen, Weird. I wonder what they mean by "exclusive". Perhaps the behaviour is different on different versions of Windows? Is there an obvious way to test for your question? I don't know for ...

Re: Advice please
However when I save the file to my computer To create a standard audio file that plays in other programs, use "File menu > Export Audio" rather than "File menu > Save Project". See here for more information about Audacity projects: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/audacity_p...

Re: Audacity seems to not play the last 0.2 seconds
I just tested Goldwave using WASAPI API (its other choice is DirectSound). It has no problem playing a full track at either low or high buffer setting (it calls that setting "latency"). Does Goldwave open and close its ports each time a play / record command is started / stopped, or does ...

Re: Problem accessing the mic with 2.1.1 with Azalia sound c
The command "arecord -d 4 /tmp/test.wav" causes a good recording of the Mic input. That's a good sign. We should be able to get Audacity recording from the Mic input. When I have pavucontrol running, I can see that signal is detected by it. That "should" give use two ways to rec...

Re: Boomy sound in recording
Listen to the drums to hear the effect. The original didn't sound like that and I play back on windows media player. By "the original", do you mean "the internet audio as played by your web browser? Windows Media Player has a built-in graphic equalizer and other effects. To get "...

Re: Protecting a Track
I envisaged in that scenario that all the "Move Track" items in the second track's dropdown menu would be greyed out. So if there are three tracks and the top track is protected, then moving the third track to "top" will move it up one place so that it is below the protected tra...
