Does it need to run entirely as a command line application, or do you want to just send additional arguments? What exactly are you trying to do?workergthiii wrote:I have a project that require command line arguments that will produce subliminal message file.

Re: How do I paste into tracks without moving everything?
Yet another surprise is a video editing feature I never quite got used to. Overlap two clips on one track and slide the crossfade back and forth blind by clicking and pushing. And then live scrub to see what you did without all that tedious pausing and playing. You've hit the nail on the head. That...

I seem to have tooltips available all the time (Linux).Gale Andrews wrote:The tooltips are context-dependent. If Stop is not active there is no tooltip.

Re: How do I paste into tracks without moving everything?
If customisation is needed, presumably an option in Tracks Preferences? That would not be very convenient for users that need to change the setting frequently. One possibility that comes to mind would be a separate "Insert Paste with Crossfade" command. That could have a fixed value of sa...

In 2.1.3 alpha both those are still missing plus no tooltip for Play
Do you still have the problem after shutting down and restarting?

Re: How do I paste into tracks without moving everything?
Presumably we could cross-fade the joins? The user can do that now if they paste into a new track, but I'm guessing that you mean "crossfade the joins automatically when pasting into an existing track". If that's what you mean, then there's a problem: How long should the crossfade be? In ...

Re: How to add silence to multiple mp3 files ?
It worked but after processing, the length of tracks is same although the original length is different. I've no idea what that means. Here is a custom version of the Trim/Add silence plug-in where I have made the changes for you and set the defaults to add "2 second + the original length"...

I'm running out of ideas.
Look in "Help > About Audacity > Build Information". Which version of PortAudio and wxWidgets has Audacity been built with?

Re: How to double the length of a recording on Mac
How do I replicate the original tracks to make it twice as long as it is? Duplicate just creates two more tracks vertically. I want two more tracks appended to the original stereo recording. Horizontal not vertical. To answer your original question, use the "Repeat" effect: http://manual....

Re: How do I paste into tracks without moving everything?
This could easily be solved by allowing the Insert key to function as a toggle between insert and overwrite (like most editing applications) so that when pasting in overwrite mode the samples is simply placed where you set it and no other information is changed on that track. If pasting audio into ...
