Re: Asus Xonar STX ii - No info above 22KHz
I've found that clicks and pops generate significantly more HF energy than the recorded info. This makes it easy to see even low-level clicks that might not be audible in casual listening Good answer :D For recordings of real instruments, there is likely to be virtually no audio above 20 kHz (hardl...

Re: Windows 10 audacity keeps crashing
Please look in "Help > About Audacity" and tell us the exact 3 part version number. The current version is 2.1.2 and is available here: http://www.audacityteam.org/download/

Re: Suggestion: Morse code generator for audacity i'll plat
Is it possible to develop a Morse Code generator for audacity, that generates dots and dashes, and phrases that you type, into Morse code The short answer, yes that could be done. It would not be too hard to develop a Nyquist plug-in to do that, though it would require time and effort to develop th...

The same audio that would be part-analyzed if you ran Analyze > Plot Spectrum... . We already do that don't we? The problem with this feature request as I see it, is that the request is based on the idea that there is some absolute frequency cut-off point above which there is no audio and that Auda...

Re: how to create guitar loops
The "Timeline Quick Play" feature (http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/timeline.html#tqp) is useful for locating loop positions. Note that exporting in MP3 format will add a little silence at the start/end of the file, so MP3 is not a good format for looping files. WAV, Flac and Ogg formats...

Re: Adding Cover Art & Meeting I-85 Compliant Needs
Even now there are not many votes. That's something of a weakness in our "voting system". Looking at the broader issue of "some way to normalize loudness", there is clearly a great deal of interest - for example, one of the most common questions about audiobook production is how...

Re: Protecting a Track
The request is simple, the detail less so. I completely agree. If this is implemented, which I do think could be a useful feature, "the detail" would need to be thought through thoroughly. (On re-reading through this topic I'm already disagreeing with some of my "first thoughts"...

Re: Asus Xonar STX ii - No info above 22KHz
How can one find the Pulseaudio sample rate? It's configured in pulse-daemon.conf http://linux.die.net/man/5/pulse-daemon.conf but it would probably be better to bypass Pulseaudio altogether. You can do that by selecting the appropriate "hw" options for recording / playback devices in the...

Re: Asus Xonar STX ii - No info above 22KHz
What sample rate is PulseAudio running at?
Also I'm wondering why you want to record frequencies above 22 kHz.
