Re: Voice Pickup/Inconsistency- 2.1.2 with Installer Windows
When I speak in my normal tone into my mic, the software does not pick it up, or it does very lowly. Sometimes when I scream, my voice fades in and out when I listen to the recording. Turn off the "Windows Sound Enhancements": http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/faq_recording_troubleshooti...

Re: How to change the where audacity looks for the file data
Audacity looks for the "_data" folder in the same location as the ".aup" project file.
If you copy an Audacity project file over from another computer, you must also copy over the project's _data file.

Re: Silence Finder + export multiple
I don't quite understand what you mean. Are you mixing up "Export Multiple" (http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/export_multiple.html) with "Chains" (http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/chai ... ation.html)?

Re: basic question with Audacity capability with movie vid
Problem is , when movies are made , the sound track many times is such that the sounds in the movie , cars , trucks , crashes , music etc. , is louder than the dialogue and if I turn the volume up it doesn't help. The dialogue is there but if I try to turn it loud enough to hear it clearly the othe...

Re: Audacity for CoolEdit user - reducing the learning curve
It is hard to teach old fingers new tricks! It's not "hard", it just takes a bit of time and practice ;) As an ex-user of CoolEdit Pro myself, I appreciate the 'trouble' of reaching for the wrong key when switching to a different application. At one time I was using Audacity, ProTools, Cu...

We all know that false positives happen from time to time, but my main concern as administrator of this forum is for forum users and in that role I must lean to the side of caution. Is your application "open source"? If so, then you're welcome to post a link to the source code. If you wish...

Re: Suggestion: Morse code generator for audacity i'll plat
Yes, that would be something I would like to do, but since I don't know the programming language, it would be kind of hard. We have quite good documentation these days for Nyquist, and it's a relatively easy language to use. If you start a new topic in the "Nyquist Plug-ins" part of the f...
