Re: can't reopen a saved project

This begs a question Gale: should we have a Feature Request for a Rename Project in the File menu? Would that be: rename the current project, or rename a saved project that isn't currently loaded? If the former, then how is it different from "Save As"? If the latter, then (to do it safely...

Did it crash when you were using EQ, or when you were using "etc"?
In order to fix the problem we need to be able to reproduce the problem, which means we need to know exactly what to do to trigger the problem.

Re: Win 8.1: Crashing on OGG export Pt 2

I've looked at your previous posts about this (http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?p=304599#p304599), and unfortunately there's no obvious clues as to what the problem might be. Needless to say, I don't get the problem on my machine. How often does this happen? Does it only happen with Ogg f...

Re: FSK generator?

Yes, I have tried that before with the manual doing, but it is a lot of hard work. So what are the steps? Research FSK, click on the Wikipedia for the definition and the wav file should be there I'm willing to help you with Nyquist coding, but I don't have the time or inclination to do the "le...

Re: Ghostly Problem – From Cassette to MP3

I paid attention to launch A. and only then turn the device on, but nothing. The other way round. Connect the device first and let Windows find it (you can check that the device is working by looking in the Windows Sound Control Panel . When you play a cassette you should see green meters reacting ...

Re: How to remove 50% length of tracks ?

Are you aware that the length of MP3s is imprecise? One of the limitations of the MP3 format is that it does not define the overall encoder/decoder delay. A consequence of that is that there is always a few milliseconds of padding at the start of an MP3 file. Will that matter to you? Another issue i...

Re: FSK generator?

It sounds like it should be possible (though arduous) to generate the type of tones you require using the built-in functions in Audacity (tone generator, speed change effect, etc.) If that is possible, then I'd expect that it could be done in a Nyquist script. Can it be done 'manually'? If so, could...

As DVDdoug suggested, see here: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/faq_ ... k.html#usb
Ensure that you have the right playback device selected in the device toolbar.

Re: Drag and Drop

After updating to the latest version of Audacity I have found that I can no longer drag and drop into Audacity. Is anyone else having this problem? If so is there a fix? It's a bug in Audacity 2.1.2. It's been fixed in the development code, so the fix will be in the next release. You should still b...
