Re: V. 2.1.2 Specrogram colors change
Wow that's weird. How did you do that? Are you using a customized version of Audacity 2.1.1?

Re: Consider a project of only unmodified tracks to be "clea
It is not safe because the user may already have deleted the file. Which could just as easily happen if they played the audio in some other "media player" couldn't it? If they are treating Audacity as an "audio player" as you suggest, then why would they delete the file if they ...

Re: V. 2.1.2 Specrogram colors change
Just wanted to let you know that I'll be staying with V. 2.1.1 since the green background color in Spectrogram view has been eliminated in V.2.1.2 "Green background"? Are you referring to "spectral selection"? Here's how it works in Audacity 2.1.2 http://manual.audacityteam.org/...

Re: Sound finder in multiple files
A more general feature for new labels or label track name to take project name or track name would be valuable too, sometime. We can't currently set or modify track names with Nyquist plug-ins, though I have it in mind to add that as a new feature in the future. Using the track name in labels is ea...

Re: Sound finder in multiple files
That looks to be functionally the same as the shipped Sound Finder which already numbers labels. Ah yes, it's "Silence Finder" that doesn't number. Here's a version that includes the track name in the label text: SoundFinder.ny Instructions for installing: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wik...

Re: Consider a project of only unmodified tracks to be "clea
I'd prefer a solution that benefits 'ordinary users' rather than one that is only for 'experts'.

Re: Sound finder in multiple files
There's a version of SoundFinder that numbers the labels: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic ... 94#p104194
Does that help?

Re: Consider a project of only unmodified tracks to be "clea
but "completely safe" exceptions would not help use cases where Audacity is just used as a player or viewer. I don't follow. if Audacity is "just used as a player or viewer", then you "open" ("import") a file, view and/or play it, then close. That is "co...

Re: can't reopen a saved project
Nor do I think we should drop support for importing files without copy in, which would be a big regression. "I could import a three hour WAV file in 10 seconds but now it takes three minutes". Even if a unitary project file format requires that all dependencies are copied in, that does no...
