Re: How to record VoIP Calls on Lync using Audacity
It probably won't work with Audacity. See here for how you're supposed to do it: https://support.office.com/en-us/articl ... c272851424

Re: Record created a new set of 8 tracks!
What are you recording from? What are you trying to do?
Re: Echo
There's some information here about connecting cassette players: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/how_ ... pment.html
Re: Echo
Turn off "Software Playthrough" in the "Transport" menu.
What are you trying to record, a microphone or a cassette player? How is the mic or cassette player attached to the computer?

Re: El Capitan and 2.1.2
Unfortunately there is a bug in Audacity 2.1.2 where drag and drop does not work correctly.
Dragging onto the icon on the Dock should work, as should using "Import Audio" from the File menu.
The problem will be fixed in the next release (I don't have a date for that).

Re: How to operate Audacity
In the Windows file explorer, go to the Music folder and make a new folder. Name it something easy to remember. Then, in audacity, go to "File menu > Export Audio". This will open the "export dialog" where you can set the name of the file that you want to export, the location, an...

Re: USB Mic Not Recording

Wait a few moments for Windows to find it, then open the Windows Sound Control Panel and look in the Recording tab to see if the mic is present and is enabled. When you speak into the mic you should see green bars moving in response to the sound. Does that wo...

Re: HELP
I've tried reading your post three times and I still don't have a clear picture of what you are doing. Let's break it down a bit. 1) Does your drum track play in Hydrogen and can you hear it? 2) In Audacity, if you import an audio file, or generate a sound (the Generate menu) and press the Play butt...

Re: Importing raw data - or from text list
Audacity is using 32-bit float format. +480 to -300 is 'only' about +50 dB, which 32-bit float format can handle with ease.Sprinterdriver wrote: the largest values is like -300 and +480 - and I doubt that those data are accepded for sample input.
