Re: Low recording level from behringer UCA222
At a live performance is the worst place to sort out technical problems. Do you have anything at home that can give you a "line level" signal (example, a CD player, cassette player or almost any "hi fi separate"). If you try this: 1) Connect the "CD player" (or whatever...

Re: Audio Disappeared
If "UNDO" does not bring it back, have a look in "File > Check Dependencies" and tell us what it says.

Re: how to see exact length of a track
Ctrl+A to "select all" then look at the middle numbers in the "Selection Toolbar" http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/selection_toolbar.html If "Length" is enabled, then the middle number shows the length from the start of the selection to the end of the track selection...

Re: Using chains to mix audio files
How are the files organized? How would the program know which of the files to pair up? You could perhaps write a script for SoX http://sox.sourceforge.net/ (joining files end to end is know as "concatenating" - that term may help if you need to Google search for how to write a script for S...

Re: Using chains to mix audio files
Sorry but Chains can't do that. Currently Chains can only perform batch processing on one file at a time. I'm not sure how you could do it in any program. How would the program know which of the files to pair up? or doesn't that matter? What's the job? What are you actually trying to do and why? If ...

Re: Shock mount for use in a restaurant
That will certainly kill any covert surveillance in McDonalds. :D Given the location of your recording, two things that I'd suggest: 1) Try different mic positions. Having the mic just a little to one side, or a little higher or lower will make little difference to the sound of your voice, but can ...

Re: Shock mount for use in a restaurant
Tutorials are good. Tutorials that fall outside of 'mainstream' usage of Audacity may be published on the Audacity wiki . The wiki is a bit of a mish-mash at the moment as we've pulled out a lot of stuff and moved it to the manual, but I hope that we can get it in better shape over time. The main co...

Re: How to operate Audacity
1) Create a new folder and name it something easy to remember. 2) Connect the USB cassette player (1 and 2 may be in either order) 3) Open Audacity (this should be after the USB cassette player has been connected) 4) Make the recording 5) Export the recording to the folder that you made in step 1. F...

Re: Shock mount for use in a restaurant
If you can suggest a way that I can be of value to the forum, then I will be pleased to help. Most people that post on this forum, get their answers, then we never hear from them again (unless they have another question). A very few, hang around longer, and may come across someone's question and th...

Your setup sounds right as far as you have described.
How is the A&H desk connected to the UCA222?
Which model of A&H desk?
