Re: 32 bits operations

From testing just one of their samples. the 32-bit 176400 Hz FLAC files was certainly better quality than the 16-bit 44100 Hz WAV files, but that because the WAV file was damaged. The WAV file was clearly clipped.

That's what I meant about "snake oil". When it comes to "audiophile discussions" there have always been outlandish claims about audio quality that cannot be substantiated by either physics or ABX tests.

Re: 32 bits operations

I ask for full 32 bits support. That's not going to happen. 32-bit (integer) offers no benefit over 24-bit integer for playback or recording, because even professional level hardware is not that good. Professional level A/D and D/A converters costing many thousands of dollars can achieve close to -...

Did you check on the website of the manufacturer of your computer?
Do they provide Windows 10 drivers for your exact model of computer?

Re: What to do with mp3 file and cue file, need to burn audi

Cue files are used by some CD burning programs. They tell the program where the start and end of each CD audio track is (and may include additional information for the CD burning application). From a quick Google search, it appears that current versions of Toast do not support Cue files directly (an...

Re: setting for recording from sound card only when playing

Sound Activated Recording will record whenever the input signal is greater than the "activation level". If the background noise is greater than the activation level, then the recording will be continuous, in which case you need to raise the activation level so that recording is not activat...

Re: 32 bits operations

I'm not sure what you are requesting. Audacity already supports 32 bit float format up to 384 kHz. Oddball sample rate like 176 kHz you can also be entered manually, though for best quality it would be recommended to use a sample rate that is supported by the sound card. Hope you to appreciate the i...

I think the BBC did that to make it harder for people to breach the terms of the license agreement:
