Re: VST Plugin Tutorial
This may have some useful information: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=329696 You might also want to consider other plug-in formats such as Nyquist and LV2, which can be cross-platform. Nyquist plug-ins are specific to Audacity, but work on Windows, Mac and Linux without modification. ...

Re: How to hear unclear call recording
Yes there's a few fragments where I think I may be able to guess at what is being said. I don't think it gets much better than that.
Can you call the person back and ask them what they said?

The recording is trash. There's not enough actual data to recover anything meaningful.elivassileva wrote:I guess this recording is too fast and must be slowed down

Re: Audacity 2.1.2 and saving as WAV
I'm running Linux Mint 18 64-bit. When I try to save audio as a WAV file, it's saved as an AIFF file instead. I'm guessing that you're using Audacity 2.1.2 (look in "Help > About Audacity"). If that's the case, then it's a bug, but only a minor bug. In some cases, Audacity 2.1.2 will inco...

More dyslexia or do you have a fake version? There is no "two point twelve" version either.roverny wrote:Doh! Sorry, meant 2.12. Got a bit of dyslexia there.

Re: How to get equal volume level across several tracks
The best (most accurate) way is to adjust the levels by ear before you mix the tracks. 1) Import the tracks (they will appear one above the other in the Audacity project) 2) Select all of the tracks (Command + A) and apply the Normalize effect. Normalize to 0 dB. This will make all tracks as loud as...

Re: .e00 Filetype unable to be opened
My guess is that ryan xu is looking at the folders inside the project "_data" folder (which are named things like "e00"), in which case see Gale's reply.DVDdoug wrote: I've never heard of the e00 format

Re: Audacity Randomly Stops Recording
Unfortunately, the issue is not fixed. It seems better, but still randomly stops recording. Oh well, I guess with a free app you can't get everything. Overall, great app, but quite an annoying issue. What makes you think the problem lies in Audacity? Does it work correctly with other software? What...

It's just a high pass filter like the High Pass filter that is included with Audacity.Black Dog Bluez wrote:Question 2.) What is it? How is it different than High Pass Filtering,
