Re: How do you determine where a 59 hertz peak is coming fro

I noticed 59, 41, and 28 hertz peaks by viewing plot spectrum but am not sure if they're part of the song or electrical noise, to remove or leave?? The frequency reported by Plot Spectrum is not guaranteed to be absolutely accurate. Plot Spectrum works by analyzing the audio as frequency bands, and...

Re: Can you get real time echo in Audacity?

We're kind of half way with macro support already, with "Chains", and I'm sure that you agree that Chains can be very useful in Audacity. Support for macro functions takes that a step further and removes many of the limitations that we have with Chains. Did you ever get to grips with "...

Re: Audacity is cutting my files into several 6 second snipp

I see that they're divided into several other files containing six seconds pieces of my music. Those are the data blocks for the Audacity "project". Leave them alone, don't edit them, don't move them, don't rename them or anything else or you could destroy the project. To open the project...

Re: Can you get real time echo in Audacity?

The essence of the requests are similar. Perhaps they could use the same code? If the feature is provided as "macro support", then they could absolutely use the same code, and many other diverse use cases too. Obviously, macros would be useful in any case... if the user can figure how to ...

Re: Can you get real time echo in Audacity?

Transcribers and language learners are not a minuscule proportion of users "relatively tiny" was the term I used, and I was referring to language learners, not transcribers + language learners. Considering all of the other uses of Audacity, and the number of applications that are designed...

Re: Can you get real time echo in Audacity?

Perhaps what we need then is proper "macro" support so that rather than develop a sequence of specific actions as a "feature" that suits a relatively tiny percentage of our users, we have a general mechanism by which many more users can create compound actions to suit whatever th...

Re: Wave Stats for Mac Audacity

Assuming that you are using Audacity 2.1.2, see here for instructions: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/faq_installation_and_plug_ins.html#nyquist_install If you're not using Audacity 2.1.2 (check in "Audacity menu > About Audacity") then you can get Audacity 2.1.2 from here: http://auda...
