Re: creating individual selections in an exported .mp3 file
Audacity 2.0.0 is quite old now. The current version is always available for free download from the Audacity website: http://www.audacityteam.org/download/ Is there any way to get individual selection in .mp3 format without recording and exporting each selection on the cassette individually? The onl...

Re: Can't figure this out
WASAPI loopback "should" work as long as you have the correct sound card drivers for your hardware and operating system. (Don't rely on the generic Windows drivers - they often have limited functionality). Note that there may also be other WASAPI options. It's the "loopback" devi...

Re: Updated De-Clicker and new De-esser for speech
Is this available for Mac? I downloaded it but couldn't figure out how to install it. Yes it's for any computer that Audacity runs on, though it won't work with very old versions of Audacity. The current version of Audacity is 2.1.2, which is available here: http://www.audacityteam.org/download/mac...

Re: Change Tempo Visually Using Waveform
I'm not exactly sure what "quantise" means In its general sense it means taking something that is continuously variable, and restricting it to discrete values. Specific examples are: Taking an analog (or high bit-depth) signal, and "quantizing" the sample values to a restricted ...

Re: Importing Raw Data from Zoom H6 SD card image, recover a
In the event that this recording was actually done in MP3 format, is there any way to salvage that audio then with the RAW data whatsoever? The problem with recovering from MP3 is that MP3 is encoded, whereas "RAW" import is looking for un-encoded "PCM" data, so RAW import is no...

Re: where to set WAV file output specs?
Unfortunately that's a bug that crept into this version. To work around it, you can either type ".wav" in when you enter the file name, or rename the file after exporting.

Re: where to set WAV file output specs?
For 8-bit WAV export, select "other uncompressed files". For more details, see: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/file ... ialog.htmlbsabiston wrote: But the current version of Audacity only seems to be able to export WAV files at 16 bit.
