Are you referring to this code: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic ... 62#p146762
if so, ensure that the "Use legacy (version 3) syntax" checkbox is selected.

Re: Delete multiple 'blank space'

Because the clips are just as I've edited them, with the correct amount of space. I don't want that changed. Do you mean that you have clips that start/end with silence, and there are "gaps" (empty "white space") between the clips, and that you want to close the "gaps"...

The most likely cause is a new dll somewhere in the plug-in search path that Audacity doesn't like.

Re: static noise in raw data only

"RAW" digital audio is simply a sequence of sample values. Formats, such as WAV and AIFF are basically "RAW" data, with some added "header" data. "M4A" is a compressed format, where the audio data has been cleverly encoded to reduce the amount of data to a sma...

Re: Turning off Noise Reduction

Is it possible to tell Audacity to ignore any potential feedback, and just record what is being sent to it? Audacity just records what is being sent to it. Audacity does not apply effects in real-time. Perhaps the effect is coming from Windows (see Windows sound enhancements: http://manual.audacity...

Re: Compressed .aup projects continuously crash when opened?

I'm using Debian 8 with the latest "nightly" code. I've not yet been able to reproduce the problem. Is the problem 100% repeatable for you? If you try making a compressed copy of a very simple project (say, just 30 seconds of generated audio), does the crash still occur? Even just a messag...

Re: Click/Backing Track

Here's what I've done: imported file for backing, made it mono, hard pan Right. Generated new click track, mono, hard pan Left. That will work. An alternative way would be to create two mono tracks then "join" them into one stereo track. The upper channel of a stereo track is "Left&q...

Re: Is there a horizontal cursor that can measure volume?

There is no horizontal cursor, but there is another way to measure the peak amplitude. Select the part that you want to measure, then open the "Amplify" effect. When the Amplify effects opens, the "Amplification (dB)" amount is the amount of amplification required to bring the pe...
