Re: Crossfade Audio Clips on one track
Hi Micke, That video was a demonstration of a new plug-in that I made in 2014. The plug-in is now included in Audacity. If you have an older version of Audacity, you can get the current version from here: http://www.audacityteam.org/download/ Instructions for the effect are in the manual here: http:...

Re: Losing lossless
That could be accounted for by whatever video encoding was used. "MediaInfo" can tell you exactly what the format is. MediaInfo is available here: https://mediaarea.net/en/MediaInfo/Download/Windows I would recommend getting the version without the installer as the Universal installer may ...

Re: Connection via phones or line out?
Does your computer have a "Line input"? (not just a "mic" input). If it has a stereo Line input, then probably best to use a tape player that has stereo Line out, though it may not make much difference. A tape player that has stereo line out is likely (but not guaranteed) to be a...

Re: Losing lossless
If you export from Audacity as 16-bit WAV, then Audacity produces a 16-bit WAV file.
How are you testing the audio files?rakrimes wrote:but when I test the audio files they are no longer lossless.

Re: Selecting part of a track in a chain
No that's not currently possible. Batch processing with Chains acts on the full audio. The usual way to do this would be to apply Truncate Silence before creating the fades. If the silences that you want to truncate are long enough and quiet enough, then you may be able get Truncate Silence to opera...

Re: Studio Fade out and Nyquist
"Studio Fade Out" is a "Nyquist" plug-in. It is included in the standard release package of Audacity 2.1.2. Instructions for installing, enabling and disabling plug-ins can be found in the manual here: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/faq_installation_and_plug_ins.html#nyquist_...

Re: Effects and Analyze will not Enable
There is the reverse case. With audio present, open an RTP effect then look at the Effect Menu. All the effects except RTP are available. Leland was hoping to eventually "fix" that by allowing multiple RTP effects to be used at the same time. That's what his experimental "Effects Pan...

Re: Determining mono or stereo export audio
The general rule is: If all of the audio in the Audacity project is mono, then the exported file will be mono. If any of the audio in the Audacity project is stereo, then the exported file will be stereo. A "stereo" track in Audacity may be either: A track with two channels (see below). A ...

Seems like there's a "feature request" in here somewhere.
