Re: Evening out the volume on a playlist
I tried to find the quietest track by going to View>Mixer Board and selecting all the tracks and playing them simultaneously. With the volume off - sounded nicer that way. Then I looked at the peaks registered on the meters If you normalized the tracks, then they will all have the same maximum peak...

Re: Evening out the volume on a playlist
This happened as I blundered around trying to learn the program. How do I reverse it? Looks like you have "scrolled" over the track's vertical ruler. It can happen quite easily by accident if you have a mouse with a scroll wheel (or equivalent). See here for the scroll / zoom gestures: ht...

Re: Fosshub 2016-08-03 compromise time window?
In this kind of situation it is best to put caution first. I don't know the exact time frame, and for me to suggest one might give a false sense of security, though I can say that in UK time it was the very early hours of the morning. If you downloaded Audacity at any time yesterday and have not yet...

Re: Slim down the Click Track interface
As the Wikipedia article says, it can be used as a "metronome". Sure, and you can use a screwdriver as a can opener, but that doesn't make it a can opener, and if someone told me there was a can opener in the toolbox, then I'd expect to find a can opener, I wouldn't be looking for a screw...

Re: Buzzing when playing games
Apparently for Windows 10, capturing screen video is available free by using "XBox App"
There's lots of articles about it on the Internet, such as this one:
"Use the Xbox app to record your screen in Windows 10"
but none of them seem to say anything about audio capture.

Re: Slim down the Click Track interface
Wherever it is, it would be confusing to have two "metronomes".Gale Andrews wrote:Would that be under the Generate menu, though? It sounds like a modeless Tool to me.
Also, strictly speaking, it's not a "metronome", it's a "click track generator".

I was hoping to save that name for a "real-time" metronome.Gale Andrews wrote:perhaps even call it "metronome"

Generate > Click Track is slimmed down to a few more controls than a physical swinging weight metronome. Speed, [X] Leading beat emphasis...and I guess that's about it. Is volume one of the current adjustments? Generate > Rhythm Track is the collection of drum and percussion sounds, controls and ma...

It is more of a very confident man on the way to kill people type voice,,,The wav you sent sounds like someone I could be a friend with...LOL That's largely a matter of context. "Spike" was a bloodthirsty vampire (from the TV series "Buffy"). Taken out of context, I think Hugo W...
