Do you have a portable radio? If so, repeat the test with the addition of the radio playing near the microphone.

The next test after that is to replace the radio with you talking

Re: Wheezing sound during processing

I managed to fix the problem myself. I changed the Interface: Host: MME instead of WASAP Super :) I'm glad you managed to fix it - I had no idea what might be causing a "wheezing" sound. I still have no idea why WASAPI should, or could cause a wheezing sound, but if it is working then tha...

Re: Zooming to center is not ideal

Personally I find zooming to centre ideal because sometimes I'm interested in the audio just after the selected point, sometimes the audio just before, and very often the audio around the selected point.

Re: Recording a mono track with 2 separate microphones on a SubZero SZ-A12 audio interface

I have enabled it and got a pop up message that it was enabled successfully, but still don't seem to find it in the effect menu. It should be called Channel Mixer I suppose, right? Open the plug-in manager again and check that it says that Channel Mixer is (already) enabled. If it's enabled, then i...

Is there some function that can fill in the blanks?

Re: Help. Little tics around 6000-8000Hz. Not mouth noises

Can I move this post to the audiobooks area please? I've moved it, but it's usually the same half dozen people that answer questions. Just tried recording "nothing". No clicks. Then I did a bit of speaking, also no clicks. They seem to start to occur after 30s or so... How long were you r...

Re: Bug: Importing Labels through command line fails

For returning the edits from Audacity to Blender, is it possible to extract information from Audacity like how many channels are in use, where in those channels are there strips, what are the in and out points of those strips and labels if any? Take a look at the "GetInfo:" command. It ha...

but am not able to find it (and use it) once installed.
Don't forget to enable it after installing.
It will then appear in the "Effect" menu in the section at the bottom (scroll down the list of effect and look below the divider).

It's nothing obvious. Do the clicks occur if you record "nothing" (start recording then go and make a cup of tea / coffee, come back and press "Stop".)

What sort of mic are you using, and how is it connected to your computer?
