Re: missing data block files - 3 options - HELP!
I made a copy of the original recording by going into this PC > Music. I then right clicked on the original recording and selected copy. What exactly was it that you copied? Did you copy an "audio file" (such as a WAV or MP3 file exported from your original project), or the "entire p...

Re: Help Installing QM Pluggin to 2.1.2
When Audacity launches, it looks to see if it can find a version of FFMpeg that it can use. Audacity usually has to search through a number of options before it can find a configuration that works. The FFMpeg related "errors" that you see relate to failed attempts to load FFMpeg. When an a...

The two sound very similar to me. I can hear a tiny bit of "pre-echo" in the MP3 version, which is to be expected (example, listen carefully to the onset of "C" at 12.3s and you may hear a slight smearing of the high frequencies). I'd also expect the MP3 version to have a gate-li...

Re: overtone distortion plugin customization
The next version of Audacity will include a distortion effect. It does not have the filters built-in, but you can apply the distortion to a duplicate of the original track, and then filter the distorted track with any of Audacity's filters (such as the Equalization effect). The duplicate (processed)...

Re: Noise Reduction in Audacity
Audacity is an audio editor. It can't edit video. If you have FFmpeg installed, it can extract the audio part from most video formats and allow you to edit that, but to edit video you need to use a video editor (such as "Openshot", "PiTiVi" or "kdenlive". There are othe...

Re: RECORDING STEREO FILE-WAVEFORM ONLY SHOWS/PLAYS BACK ON
With it being the left channel that is dead (I presume that is the upper channel of the stereo track?), the first thing that I would check is leads and connectors.
