Re: Want ver 2.0.6 back!
how come this seems to be the only effect (at least that i've come across yet), with a choice of CLOSE and APPLY at the bottom, instead of CANCEL and OK? VST, LADSPA, LV2, AU and a couple of built-in effects support "real-time preview". This means that you can adjust the effects controls ...

Re: Audio is not exporting the edited version
Try exporting with a different name from the original file.
Two good reasons to do this: 1) It is less likely to confuse 'smart' music libraries, 2) If you make an error in Audacity, you don't destroy the original.

Re: Recording EVP/spiritual responses
I'm sorry but I don't think that we're able to help you as there are no physical facts to work with, so no physical solution to your problem. Electromagnetic radiation, light, radio waves, and sound are all well understood physical phenomena which we can use, measure and manipulate. Spirits and tele...

Re: Finding clicks in recordings
I have trouble finding the exact spot where a click/pop is in a vinyl recording. The "Track Spectrogram" view is very useful for finding clicks, Click's usually show up as a bright vertical line. Select the small region where the line is, then switch back to Waveform view and zoom in on t...

Re: Reducing HZ rate of audio?
Set the "Project Rate" (bottom left corner of the main Audacity window) to 44100 before you export. The "Project Rate" determines the sample rate of exported files.

Re: Volume on OK Monitoring but low on recording
Turning up the playback level does increases the recording level but the slider on that also increases the volume on the external speakers so that they become far too loud :( You need to get speakers / headphones that have their own volume control, or if you don't need to listen while recording you...

Re: Volume on OK Monitoring but low on recording
When recording "Stereo Mix" you are recording the "output" from your sound card. The output level (how loud it is playing) therefore affects the level of the signal that you are recording. If the playback level in your computer is low, then you will get a low signal in Audacity. ...

Re: Transport Toolbar only has a pause button!
The version of Audacity on SourceForge is out of date (2.1.0). "Audacity AudioMonitor" is not an official part of the Audacity project and is not supported by us. The current 2.1.2 version of Audacity is available via the Audacity website: http://www.audacityteam.org/download/windows/ To r...

Re: disappearing radio buttons
The Bugzilla reports do seem to be the same problem - not clear to me that anyone had a solution but I may be just bamboozled by all the jargon! Will have another read but if you have any suggestions I'd be pleased. Comment 13 appears to hold the answer: > Also are you or Fedora configuring wxWidge...
