Re: No IN(UA-1EX) on Device Toolbar

What audio devices connected to your computer are you aware of? I presume there will be an internal sound card, and the tape player - anything else? (don't forget web cams, headsets, or anything else that may have an audio input). From the Help menu. select "Audio device info", then copy t...

Re: Modulate sine tones.

Modulation takes two signals. Are you wanting to modulate two sine tones, or one sine tone with some other signal?

Do you also have a large hard drive? If so, make your original copies in WAV (or FLAC) format, then if you need MP3 format for the final product, copy the WAV files to MP3. The "WAV" originals are your backup. Copying tapes takes a lot of time, so you will only want to do it once, so ensur...

Re: Blank audio when uploaded for podcast

One problem with YouTube is that it's difficult to tell who copied from who. When a YT video is popular, people copy it and claim it for their own channel, then people copy the copies, then people copy the copy of the copies, an search engines tend to favour the most recent (furthest from the origin...

Re: No IN(UA-1EX) on Device Toolbar

I purchased a tape player for transferring my tapes to CD for the car. It came with Audacity. It's probably an obsolete version of Audacity. Look in "Help > About Audacity". The current version is 2.1.2. If you've not got that version, download it from here: http://www.audacityteam.org/do...

Re: Audacity 2.1.2 & Win7 64bit, Bug with toolbars

Resetting didn't help. I'd rather not use an Alpha for my recordings, so I'll wait for next version. It's possible to run the alpha version as a "portable" application (no installation and no changes to your system). This is what our regular alpha testers do, so as to not interfere with t...

Re: Audacity to excel in real time

I think the answer is probably no you can't do that in real time, though I still don't understand what you mean by "transfer data to excel". How are you doing that? Are you talking about Sample Data Export?

Perhaps you could describe what you mean using more words.

Re: Blank audio when uploaded for podcast

It's happened on several of our podcast episodes when I have pulled show clips off of YouTube Could you give a link to one of the YouTube videos that had this problem. It could be useful for us to check if it is actually the video that has the problem, because if it's not, then it must be something...
