Re: Shift multiple tracks and keep my work [SOLVED]
Hi Mark. It's generally better to start a new question in a new topic, otherwise discussions quickly become very confusing. The simplest way to insert 10 seconds silence at the start of all tracks is "Ctrl+A" (to select All), "F5" (to switch to the Time Shift tool), then click an...

Re: New logo / icon proposal
The gallery page is locked to save me and other moderators time removing posts that aren't gallery images. How it works is; when someone wishes to share their proposed Audacity artwork, they start a topic in this "Audacity Artwork and Graphics" board, then either I or one of the other mode...

Re: Record my voice only
I have heard that in Fraps or Bandicam it is possible to seperate those sounds, but I was wondering if it´s also possible to do it in audacity. You should be able to capture just the microphone (and not other sounds). You would need to use headphones or mute the computer sounds so that the mic does...

Re: ScratchMarker
Cool 8-) The age of the plug-in answers my first point. It's written as a "version 1" plug-in. We're now up to "version 4", which has additional features that we can benefit from. Converting the plug-in to version 4 is dead easy. All you need to do is: 1) change the ;version 1 he...

Re: White Noise is All-Consuming
Maybe it's because the clip is quieter overall? That's a large part of it. When normalized to the same level, the low frequency noise is a similar level on both machines. The mid to high frequency noise is lower on the Mac, but the Mac also has an additional hum at 120 Hz. If we can get the mid to ...

Re: Stereo Issue
accessing it via USB with a new Focusrite audio interface. Which model? Most USB pre-amps give you two independent channels. Channel 1 being "Left" and channel 2 being "right". If you are using channel 2 as your input, then the device sends that as "right channel" to t...

Re: White Noise is All-Consuming
Thanks. There's not a huge difference there. The Mac version has more hum at 120 Hz, but less hiss above 400 Hz. I think we should be able to get Windows to work a bit better. Have you tried getting WASAPI to work? Note: Write down your current settings before you change them, with pen/pencil and pa...

Re: White Noise is All-Consuming
A recording from the Mac could be useful. Is that exactly the same setup apart from the computer?
