The picture that you posted shows the sample rate as 44100 http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic ... 39#p314339

If you are not starting a new project when you record, you may need to reset the "Project Rate" (lower left corner of the Main Audacity window) to 48000.

From the "Help" menu, select "Audio device info". Copy and paste the full audio device information into your reply. That may tell us what setting you need to change.

The WAV file looks like this and sounds fine: Try exporting a short section (about 6 seconds) of that file in WAV format. Then close and restart Audacity and import that WAV file into a new project. Import both files. They appear as two tracks, one above the other.
Align the tracks end to end (see: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/trac ... html#align)
Export as "XXXAB".
