Re: Schmitt trigger... Possible?
These signals come from "computer tapes". They are analog, but I have to convert them to digital. Square waves with, just to say, +0,5/-0,5 peaks where "sin" waves have "peaks". More precisely, from +0.2 up i can set the "+0,5" peak, and from -0.2 down i can ...

Re: Schmitt trigger... Possible?
Out of interest I wrote a little demo. This also uses the Nyquist Prompt effect http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/nyquist_prompt.html Firstly a "comparator". For this we will first generate 1 second 20 Hz sine tone, amplitude 0.8: (abs-env (mult 0.8 (hzosc 20))) sine.png The next bit of c...

Re: Schmitt trigger... Possible?
That looks more like a comparator than a Schmitt trigger (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schmitt_trigger). I also notice that the upper waveform has a slower rise time than fall time. Is that important to the design? It would help if you described in detail what you are wanting to do. What's the job?...

Re: Schmitt trigger... Possible?
Audacity does not do real-time processing.
If you're not wanting this for real-time use, then please describe in detail what you are wanting to do.

Re: plugin request for multi octave shifter to be created
Could you ask a melodyne user to make such tutorial so that we Audacity people know what is needed. It's not a question of "knowing what is needed". I'm sure most of the Audacity developers understand what would be needed, but the development effort to do it is a massive undertaking, whic...

Re: Koz's Short Story
Obviously for a commercial release the recording would need some editing (removing / reducing some clicks, such as those just before you start talking). Overall I found the sound rather bass heavy (a combination of mic / mic position / recording environment / your voice). Using Equalization to lower...

Re: Problem w/ Skips in Recorded Tracks
I am using Audacity 2.0.5 That's ancient and should be updated. The current version is 2.1.2 and is available here: http://www.audacityteam.org/download/mac/ I do everything as I had done with the successful conversions. I open Audacity, put in the cassette, push the record button on Audacity and s...

Sounds like you need the Sliding Time Scale / Pitch Shift effect: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/slid ... shift.html

Open "Help > Audio device info".
Wait for the info to appear, then click the "Save" button and save the info somewhere convenient.
Then attach the saved file to your reply (see: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic ... 49&t=64936)
