Re: Problem with low frequency sounds
I suspect that the problem is simply that small speakers can rarely reproduce low frequency sounds. Perhaps a Christmas gift card for purchasing headphones could be a solution? (my laptop speakers are about 30 dB quieter at 500 Hz than at 1000 Hz, and below 100 Hz there is no audible sound at all. P...

Re: scrolling screen
Having zoomed in to find the breaks between tracks, I can only see part of the recording. How do I scroll the time scale horizontally to see other parts of the recording whilst still zoomed in? Several ways, for example. drag the horizontal scroll bar (at the bottom of the tracks window). If you on...

Re: Help finidng the right effects to fix very distroted aud
Can you tell me how I can fix this up? It's beyond fixing. Frequencies above 3300 Hz are totally missing, so that's why it sounds muffled. You can't "improve" what's not there. There's a lot of echo/reverberation, which is very difficult to deal with even if everything else about the audi...

Re: waveform antialiasing supersampling
One of the developers did some experimental development of a new track panel with sub-pixel rendering, so that may be a possibility at some time in the future.

Re: Release date for newest Audacity against Wx3.0?
but with 2.0.8 version of Audacity, We never made a 2.0.8 version. We jumped from 2.0.6 to 2.1.0. My initial thought was to install a previous version that would work with Wx 2.8.0 that is also included already in the Antix repositories, but.... would it be easy to do? Or would I run into other dep...

Re: Trouble Importing "Save Project As" files in Windows 7
"Saved projects" should be opened using "File menu > Open" and select the ".aup" file. That will automatically pull in the fragments of audio data from the project "_data" folder. Note: there are two parts to an Audacity project. There is the "project fil...
