From a development perspective, what would be required to get audacity running on a chromebook? It would require WxWidgets to be ported to Chrome OS. What happens if you do this:

1) Start Audacity, or if already running, exit Audacity and restart.

2) Generate > Tone
Waveform: Sine
Frequency: 440
Amplitude: 0.8
Duration: 30 s

3) Ctrl+B
