Re: error loading up project
An Audacity project is not just a single file. There are two parts to an Audacity project: the ".AUP" file and the audio data. If you move one without the other then the project won't work. As long as you've not deleted or moved other relevant files, you should be able to recover the proje...

Re: .aup file reference and .wav instead of .au
But as seen in compressed audacity project files, at least .ogg files (and as I tried out - also .wav-files) can be recognized on project opening, when linked via this "import"-tag Yes they are "recognised", but they are still "imported" rather than "opened"....

Re: .aup file reference and .wav instead of .au
That is good! Although I miss the "import"-tag in this DTD file that is used in compressed audacity project files The audacityproject.dtd file is badly out of date. It's not been updated in at least 6 years, quite possibly longer, so some features of the Audacity Project XML format are un...

Re: Recording DJ Mix Windows 10, 3.5 line in, no sound OR
Look in the Recording tab of the Windows Sound Control Panel . Is there a recording device enabled? Does it respond to input from your mixer? (it should show a green meter bounce up and down with the input). To attach pictures or other files to a forum post, see: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewto...

Re: Error while opening sound device during recording
Which version of Audacity? (look in "Help menu > About Audacity") What are you trying to record? Assuming that you have a sound card installed in your computer and are using Audacity 2.1.2, my guess is that some other application has taken exclusive control of the sound card so that there ...

Re: Removing the louder of two voices
If one voice comes entirely from the left speaker, and the other voice from the right speaker, then you can separate the voices by splitting the track into two mono tracks. See: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/splitting_and_joining_stereo_tracks.html After splitting the track, click the Mute butt...
