Just to be clear, the loss of accuracy comes from the *TRACKS* properties. I think it comes from "GetInfo: Type=Tracks", which is called by (aud-get-info "tracks") If you run this code on a long track, you will see that there's nowhere near enough decimal places for sample accur...

So, is there a way to get the correct project length? If it's a "process" or "analyze" type plug-in: (print (/ len *sound-srate*)) The issue is that this returns an approximate, rather than exact, value. Perhaps we should be requesting an enhancement - more accuracy. Audacity is...

For production work I'd recommend waiting until it is officially released (hopefully not long now )

Maybe more logical than what we do but there needs to be a convenient way to extend a selection to other tracks without changing the start / end time. It's easy enough to extend the selection if required (Windows / Linux: Shift + Home / End), but if the selection is lost there's no easy way to rest...

I would argue vigorously against that, because Opus is a much "better" compressed audio format than AAC, and it is open source which fits better with our ethos. I expect I would lose the argument though

I assume that you don't create regular backups of your computer data (very few people do). If you do, then you could try restoring an earlier backup. If not then unfortunately I'm out of ideas.

Do you use an anti-virus app?
