Re: Easy way to put Selection Toolbar info into export filen
Unless the selection is at the start of the track, the label seems to be placed after the end of the selection. The code correctly finds the start and end time of the selection, but these are not the correct times for the label placement. When Nyquist returns labels to Audacity, Audacity interprets...

Re: Chain seems to complete but returns audio to original st
Are you applying the Chain to the current project, or to audio files?

Re: Audio runs out of sync
To adjust the speed of one track so that it matches the speed of another, use the "Change Speed" effect. The "length" parameters are generally the most useful for this type of task. http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/change_speed.htmlkozikowski wrote:It's not Tempo. It's actually Speed.

Re: Removing Narration
a reasonable amount of isolation is possible. How? Whistling is mostly narrow band noise, and so can be removed quite effectively using the Spectral Edit Multi-tool to notch filter out the whistling. Before doing that, make a duplicate copy of the track and invert it. After filtering out the whistl...

Re: Unexpectedly Quit....
I tried to send you a photo of the set-up showing all the wires behind my work area but I couldn't get the attachment part of the A. website to accept it. It would have made you laugh! I'm guessing it looks similar to this ;) https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/236x/9a/05/f3/9a05f3a5a09e6b1ec94c5e...

Re: Removing Narration
The quality doesn't need to excellent, just good enough to stand on its own I suspect that won't be possible from the sample that you posted. Parts of the whistling are totally obscured by the narration, such as the first part of the clip. The obvious solution is to find one or more people that can...

Re: Removing Narration
This is probably a daft question but I have an instrumental (violin & piano) version of Keep The Home Fires Burning. Are there any special effects (or plugins) that would make this sound like whistling? Not convincingly like humans whistling. Regarding your original question: The audio quality ...

Re: Removing Narration
What's the aim, to produce a high quality audio recording of the whistled tune, or just to make the tune a bit easier to hear? If you post a few seconds of the recording in WAV format, that will help us to advise how much improvement is possible. (See: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=4...

Re: Noise Reduction / Stereo to Mono / Volume
I am wondering if I should change the sound from stereo to mono before proceeding the noise reduction. Or not... What do you think is better? (No need Stereo for Radio) Doesn't really matter. - I guess the Noise Reduction must be done before amplifying the sound or changing the envelope. Am I right...
