If you Export as "WAV (Microsoft) signed 16-bit PCM" and the "Project Rate" (bottom left corner of the main Audacity window) is set to 44100, then you get a standard, "CD quality" WAV file that should be readable by just about any modern audio application.

Why are you exporting as 32-bit float WAV?
What is the sample rate and file size?

It could be a cable problem.

I don't know how you have done it, but the problem is that the voice in the right channel is out of phase with the voice in the left channel. When waveforms are "out of phase", it means that one is "upside down" (inverted) compared to the other. I presume this was unintentional, ...

For information, the "bad" characters appear to be UTF16 character codes for a "wave" emoji.

Try this, but read this full post before downloading: Note that I have renamed the file to the original name of the project, so you will need to move your current "LDP.aup" file out of the way - I'd suggest that you do that before you download this file so as to avoid confusion.

Have you tried a test recording from your normal sound card to see if the gaps still happen?

Did you make a backup copy of the original AUP file? (I hope so)
