Re: New Logo / New GUI

I like the "more modern" look. Regarding the logo, there's a difficult balance to be struck between "modernizing" and retaining " brand recognition ". The current Audacity logo does perhaps look dated, but it also has terrifically strong association with the "brand...

Re: Level-dependant (dynamic) EQ?

Are you thinking: "The ringing occurs when the drum is hit hard, so the solution is to cut the ringing frequency when the amplitude is high." If so, that probably won't work. The ringing may well occur as a consequence of hitting the drum hard, but when the amplitude is high, what you will...

Re: Report a Bug ... v. 2.1.3

And now noticed the Bass/Treble effect did not work right v213 - one of the channels did not finish at zero decibels when set to finish there, the left did good but the right red-lined out a considerable amount. In earlier versions of Audacity, the "Bass and Treble" effect was a "two...

Re: Focusrite Saphire 14. Can't select correct input

Every sound card that I've used with Audacity defaults to channels 1 and 2. It's a mystery to me why your set-up does not do that, but I don't have a firewire Focusrite sound card to test.

Re: Multiple sessions

Typically "Highlights" need to be saved and sent off for playback during the next break (sometimes in as little as 5 minutes from when they happen in real time) Add your markers (labels) in real-time (while recording), then as soon as you get to the break, "Export Multiple" base...

Re: Best way to bass boost with Audacity for every device

The first time I listened a song on my Hp laptop, I was very disappointed! The bass sounded much less powerfull and the kicks were not as defined. I though I was doing something wrong or that my laptop had very bad quality speakers. Probably the latter. I've never seen a laptop with good bass respo...

Re: Unable to install GSNAP plugin.

You've probably got the 64-bit version of GSnap, but Audacity is a 32-bit application so you need to use the 32-bit version of GSnap.

Re: Help with editing

Do you still regard that code as alpha/pre-alpha from your now more experienced perspective? "Proof of concept" would be a good description. Clipfix.ny itself could do with being rewritten to be easier to read and maintain, but it works, so that's not very high priority. It's just not a g...
