Re: audacity pre-roll, post roll
Audacity does not have "per track play lists", so we need to modify the approach and use a new track for each take. Tip : For working with multi-track projects, it can be useful to set the "Solo" button behaviour to "Multi-track" in Preferences . The first thing to do i...

Re: Can't hear parts of recording
Audio sample on Google Drive (550.4 MB) https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B5KVgggGpUspS0FvTVNmb3hjSmc If that is the 'raw' (unprocessed) recording, then I don't think it can be improved. The sound quality is too poor, and it appears to have been badly damaged either by excessive noise reduction, or...

That version is ancient. The current version is 2.1.3 which is available here: http://www.audacityteam.org/download/wertrh,kju wrote:I'm using version 2.0.5

Re: Recording with behringer podcastudio
I don't see the usb for the mixer there, only saying microphone usb audio codec. I presume that you are replying to my post, and you don't see the USB for the mixer in the Windows Sound Control Panel . Is that right? Assuming that's what you mean: 1) Close the Windows Sound Control Panel. 2) Discon...

Re: Reorder aac streams without reencoding
Audacity works with uncompressed audio only, so an AAC file would be decoded on import and re-encoded on export.
One of the specialist video forums (such as doom9) will probably be your best bet.

Re: DLLL HIJACKING Audacity 2.1.2
I just came across this via Secunia, where this issue is considered "Highly Critical". It is "highly critical" if someone is able to put a malicious DLL onto your computer, regardless of whether you have Audacity installed or not. This is really a matter for the Audacity develop...

Re: Installing ASIO in Audacity
Congratulations :-) Is there a file I might upload and play (and do minor edits) just to see if my efforts were successful? Not sure what you want. MP3 files are plentiful on the Internet, or you could try making a test recording, or generate some sound from one of the effects in the Generate menu. ...

Re: Long labels not loaded in Audacity projects
now that the label tag is there, it sure seems like an arbitrary length limit It's not arbitrary. Export Multiple (http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/export_multiple.html) may use labels for file names, so they need to be well-formed and for the file-related functions. For now, I have workaround in...

Re: Updated De-Clicker and new De-esser for speech
I've an idea what may be happening. @Trebor, could you try this test to see if it causes similar symptoms. Here are two versions of a very simple 'effect' plug-in. It just tells you what value you selected. Both plug-ins have the same name and the same file name, so you'll need to keep careful track...

Click "OK" in that dialog, and run the effect.Trebor wrote:Since 2-1-3 I get an error message when clicking the default on Paul-L's DeClicker :
Now open the effect again - do you still get that message?
