Re: Problem with recording at 2X speed
Is it playing at normal pitch or much higher than normal pitch? If it is at normal pitch, then the problem is due to 'skipping' (bits of audio missing, so that the remaining audio is shorter). The first thing to try in this case is a reboot. If that doesn't help, there's a big list of things here: h...

The gain control is a knob on the front of the device. For more information, refer to the Presonus manual http://www.presonus.com/products/AudioBox-USB/downloadsGforce1000 wrote:turning down the Gain on the Presonus sounds like the best solution. Just one problem: I have absolutely no idea how to do that

Re: DLLL HIJACKING Audacity 2.1.2
you can make a user open a Audacity-Project on a Network Share with 3 simple clicks That's not the same as loading a dll. If I try to open a file that is actually a dll and not a project, all that happens is that Audacity gives an error message saying that it can't be opened because it's not a vali...

Re: Error: reference to invalid character number at line 6
After saving a project for this one song I can't seem to reopen it without getting this stupid "invalid character error" It looks to me like you are trying to use audio clips in your project contrary to the license terms of the copyright owner. The audio has embedded tags which include th...

Re: Problem exporting after using tempo effect
This was a known bug in Audacity 2.1.2 which has been fixed in 2.1.3.
It's actually just the progress indicator that is broken - if you wait it should complete normally.
To fix the problem, get Audacity 2.1.3 from here: http://www.audacityteam.org/download/

Re: I professionally miss mono and Hz
The requirements for my files are mono and 44100 hz So that we can provide correct information for your needs, do you need your files to be WAV format, MP3 format or some other format? If you required MP3 format, what "bit rate" (kbps) is required and do you need CBR (constant bit rate) o...

Re: Saving an audacity project and using it
There are two parts to a project: A "project file" that has an "AUP" file extension, and a "folder" that contains lots of little audio clips. It sounds like you are trying to open the folder rather than the file. Both the file and the folder are essential parts of the p...

Re: Fading the same amount of time of multiple clips
I wonder if you are fixing the actual problem. Why do your clips all have a click at the end? (it's not 'normal' for clips to click at the end). Do they perhaps suffer from DC offset? (http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/dc_offset.html)

Re: buggy Import RAW Data
On my machine, that is detected by Audacity as signed 8-bit, little endian, 2 channel (stereo), which produces this waveform:terrance_h wrote:sin.raw.notrealwav.wav
