Hopeful that there is a way in audacity effects to help deal with the problem.
Are you sure that there's a "problem"?

Where did the recording come from?

Re: mic line in jack not in devices list

This is Alsa Mixer on my machine with only the internal sound card. The "Capture" slider is the main record level slider. The "Mic Boost" on the left sets the amount of gain for the mic / line input socket. For a line level input this needs to be down to minimum. For a microphone...

Re: MP3 coupe au début sous iOS

If you have an old iPhone, you will need to select the "Constant" bit rate mode. https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/mp3_export_options.html Google Translate: Si vous possédez un ancien iPhone, vous devrez sélectionner le mode débit binaire "Constant". https://manual.audacityteam...

Re: On-demand Loading again

It's not my decision (don't shoot the messenger ;)), but on demand loading is unlikely to be coming back. With modern hardware (particularly with a SSD) the benefits are negligible but there are considerable technical problems trying to maintain that code, as well as potential bear traps for unwary ...

Re: Type of format = 03, not 01

Audacity version: 2.1.2 That's a very old version. The current version is 2.4.2, and Audacity 3.0.0 is scheduled for release on Wednesday (17th March). The current version of Audacity is available via the Audacity website: https://www.audacityteam.org/download/windows/ but the type of format value ...

A DJ or band can also play ANY songs "live" as long as the venue is paying licensing fees and (theoretically) you get your "share" of those fees.
I think this varies by country. In the UK (and a number of other countries / territories) this is managed by PRS.

Re: most valued microphone for voiceovers?

How do you know that wasn't David Ciccarelli ? I'm not surprised that the CEO of a voice talent company takes time out of his busy schedule to write an article for Forbes , but rather unlikely that he would do so to recycle a year old article on this forum. I'd be delighted to be wrong. I'm sure Da...

Re: Can I export files in Audacity for commersial use?

I have the version Audacity 2.4.1 is the song I have exported as Wav and as Mp3 file in that version 2.4.1 also free for commercial use and legal, as in the Audacity 2.4.2 version? The license terms for Audacity 2.4.1 and 2.4.2 (and 3.0.0) are identical. It is highly recommended to keep up to date ...

Re: Manage Macros

It would surely be better on the right Whether left or right column (I could live with either), I think adding a "Save" button and renaming "Cancel" as "Close" would be a big improvement. If we're all in agreement, I'll add this as a proposed solution in the bug tracker.
