Re: WAV Export introduces a pop at end of track
Guess Option 2 was the answer. That's annoying though, that I can't verify that my exports are pop-free on the laptop I'm using to make the edits. A little "trick" to work around the problem if it happens in Audacity: Add a label beyond the end of the track. That allows you to play past t...

Re: 16 bit PCM vs 32 bit float for ripped from CD
I may just end up using iTunes as my player, but if I can get a better one for free, I might go with that. If you're on Windows, Foobar2000 is an excellent audio player. It doesn't look very pretty, but it does what it's designed to do (play and convert audio files) supremely well. iTunes use "...

Re: WAV Export introduces a pop at end of track
Another possibility is that it isn't the file at all, but just your sound card "switching off" when it stops playing at the end of the file. If this is the case, you would expect it to happen with all files, not just WAV files.

Re: Can I Create a Single File with Navigable Chapters?
It's also possible to create chapters using FFmpeg from the command line. Here's an example of the metadata from an M4B file that has chapter marks that work in iTunes: ;FFMETADATA1 major_brand=M4A minor_version=0 compatible_brands=3gp5isom Encoding Params=vers genre=Audiobook media_type=2 comment=h...

Re: Running Audacity on basic laptop eMMC storage
I've found an adaptor that should allow us to connect the previous 3.5mm jack that comes out of our mixing desk (that plugged into the old laptop's "Mic in" socket) so hopefully that will be OK? The output level from a mixer is typically around 1000 x higher than a microphone. There is a ...

Not in the near future, because MP3 decoding is not supported in Nyquist.lothie wrote:Is there any possibility that this plugin will ever support compressed files such as mp3?

Re: File size doubles after limiting
32-bit float WAV is an unusual format. Are you sure that your original files are 32-bit float? Audacity converts most file types to 32-bit float on import, which is great while editing / processing, but rather OTT for the final export (and may not play in some applications). I'd recommend exporting ...

Re: Cannot Export full audio
I have recorded 171 hours, 41 minutes, and 44 seconds of audio. In Audacity? Does it play correctly? If you have a working Audacity project, then I'd suggest exporting as a series of files rather than one massive file. As koz wrote, the maximum size for a WAV file is 4 GB. Use "Regular Interva...
