Re: Exporting multiple tracks
I'm sorry to answer something from 4 years ago, but there is no way to avoid renaming the title track with the file name and just keep it like it was? In my case they are never the same (if file name is "01 Song" my title is "Song"), otherwise this would be sadly completely prog...

Re: Audacity not recording, or seeming as if it isn't.
Try "Transport menu > Rescan Audio Devices", then check the settings in the device toolbar.
If the Blue Icicle is no longer listed in the device toolbar, try unplugging it from the computer and plugging it in again, then rescan audio devices again (or restart Audacity).

Re: DLLL HIJACKING Audacity 2.1.2
Oh, it does Sorry, but all I see is more FUD. Yes it is known that there is a potential risk if a malicious DLL is placed in the library load path. We can fix that by ripping out support for WMA, AAC, AC3 and other closed source formats. We are not going to do that. The application's working direct...

Re: turn audio file to WAV file
Personally I loathe iTunes, but that's beside the point
There's some information here about how to get files out of iTunes and into Audacity: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/tuto ... tunes.html

Re: Ctrl-[ and Ctrl-] collapse select region
Could be the problem was I had Ctrl-] and Ctrl-[ assigned to both "Cursor to ..." and "Skip to ...". That does explain the behaviour. When I renamed audacity.cfg in portable settings (I've been copying that folder to each version when I test it), the keyboard shortcuts disappear...

Re: Error message from Crossfade Tracks effect
Nothing wrong with that. It's perfect and works exactly as designed.
So it seems that your Audacity installation is FUBAR.
What other apps do you use on your computer? Are you getting weird problems with them, or only in Audacity?

Re: Ctrl-[ and Ctrl-] collapse select region
Yes, thanks for the report Dick. I'm not seeing this behaviour in a May build on Linux.
Have you tried resetting preferences? If you have preferences that you want to keep, you can just close Audacity, then (temporarily) rename the audacity.cfg file, then re-launch Audacity and test.

Re: Error message from Crossfade Tracks effect
For a default installation, the plug-in will be in:
~/Library/Application Support/audacity/Plug-Ins
The plug-in is just one file, called "crossfadetracks.ny"
Please attach that file to your reply so that I can take a look at it. Hopefully that will cast some light on what is going wrong.

Re: Error message from Crossfade Tracks effect
Well it looks like someone or something has modified the plug-in file, because the word "COLORADO" does not exist in the "Crossfade Tracks" plug-in that we distribute.

I didn't say anything about downloading a program. My suggestion was that you downloaded the owners manual.Gforce1000 wrote: I have no idea WHICH of those programs will best suit my needs
