Re: Exporting to WMA Lossless
I see there are various losseless formats to choose from but wma losseless isn't one of them. Will this be a format option at sometime. Unlikely as Microsoft have never released format documentation. You could export from Audacity as WAV, and then use Microsoft's " Expression Encoder 4 " ...

Re: Themes
I've upgraded to Audacity v. 2.1.3, and I like most of the new features, but there's one area that I wish worked as it did with 2.1.2, namely the ability of themes to change the background color. I had been using the Dark Audacity theme with the older version, with the big selling point being that ...

What is "X weighting"? Where do they say that?kozikowski wrote:ACX Audiobook uses X weighing for noise
If you mean "not weighted", that is more often called "Z-weighting" (Zero weighting), and sometimes written as dB(Z).

Re: "Error reference to invalid character number at line 714
Here is a fixed version. You will need to rename it with the original file name. fixed-version.txt Here is how to fix this type of problem: First, make a backup copy of the AUP file and put it somewhere safe. Open the .AUP file in a plain text editor (I'd recommend NotePad++ ) and go down to line 71...

Re: How to isolate voice in a 2-mic setup
You could try squelching what should be silence, but where you can hear the other person talking ... and you can also automate that using the "Auto Duck" effect (http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/auto_duck.html), but whether manually or with Auto Duck you are relying on only one person t...

Re: How to isolate voice in a 2-mic setup
If you want "only" one voice per channel, you need the two people in separate rooms when you record, or record each person separately (not real-time). If "mostly" one voice per channel, physically separate the two people as much as possible, and get the mics as close as possible ...
