Re: Insert 3 seconds of silence every 25 seconds
I can't think of any way to do that automatically with Audacity, but if you tell us what the job it (why do you want to add 3 seconds silence every 25 seconds in a 10 hour recording?) then we may be able to suggest an alternative.

Audacity 2.0.6 is very old. I'd suggest that you update to the current 2.1.3 version and see if the problem still occurs.maxbln wrote:I'm on osx 10.11.6 and was on audacity 2.0.6 when the problem occured.
You can download the current version here: http://www.audacityteam.org/download/mac/

Re: how to cut mp3

Re: exporting selected audio greyed out
The "_data" folder contains the ".au" files which are the "audio". The ".aup" file tells Audacity how to fit the .au file together to create the "project".

Re: Exporting to WMA Lossless
In that case, Gale's suggestion looks like the best we can offer. Use the command line encoder from here:

and the "external program" export option: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/expo ... ogram.html

Re: Uninstall built version
So, what to do ? - re-compile the sources ? Yes, but you need to reconfigure as well. - unsintalling the installed version ?... but, how to do this ? From the directory where you ran "make install", run "make uninstall" I'd suggest that you first uninstall, then run make distcle...
