Re: Insert 3 seconds of silence every 25 seconds
I've not use the Mac dictation tool, but is the basic problem that the tool cannot keep up with the text? I don't think that inserting regularly spaced silences will work very well because it will cause some words to be split. The first think that I would do is to split the 10 hour recording into mo...

Re: Uninstall built version
(what a loooooong time compiling................ almost one hour...) If you have a multi-core processor, use the "-j" switch with "make". Setting this to "number of cores +1" generally gives the fastest build time without crashing. For example, for a 4 core processor: ...

Re: audio clip
Removing very low and very high frequencies with the "Telephone" or "Walkie Talkie" presets in the Equalization effect can sometimes help a little, but generally, if the recording quality is so bad that you can't hear what is being said, then it's a lost cause. Please note also t...

I'm not sure what you are asking.
Have you installed the plug-ins? Do they appear in the Audacity Effect menu?

Re: Mono back to stereo
Which versions do you have?
I presume that you don't have the original recordings.
If you only have a mixed down mono MP3, then you won't be able to un-mix it.

Re: Recoeding My old Vinil records
1. Why no audio from loudspeakers while recording ? Because Windows disables "playthrough" by default, and for good reason. If your input was a microphone, and playthrough was enabled, then the sound from the speakers would go back into the microphone and cause howling feedback. As you ar...
