Re: Repair Plugin: Ctrl-R should not bring up warning messag

If the effect fails (because the selection is too long), don't you want to know that? Example: If you are trying to fix a subtle click, the click may be audible but not visible in the waveform. So if you inadvertently made the selection a bit too long for the Repair effect, how would you know that t...

Re: Unable to Capture Streaming Audio Using S/PDIF In

1. Audio Quality From everything I’ve read, the sound (and recording) quality is likely to be superior when using external devices due to elimination of interference from computer components and probably better quality of external DACs. Re: Having Some issues with exporting my live commentary fil

Re: Having Some issues with exporting my live commentary fil

The maximum size that a normal WAV file can be is 4GB.
Sample rates over 100000 Hz are excessive for audio and more prone to intermodulation distortion than more reasonable sample rates.

Re: Time-Aligning 12hr+ tracks

I don't think we want to get involved in spying activities, and please be aware that recording people without their knowledge or consent is illegal in many countries. Regarding the technical aspects of synchronising long tracks: Be aware that Audacity works with uncompressed 32-bit audio, so working...

Why do you need to use Audacity? Why not just load the MP3s directly into Nero?

Re: Noise overlapping speech

You may be able to reduce the fan noise a bit with the Noise Reduction effect if (a) the fan noise is fairly constant (b) the fan noise is fairly quiet. Don't expect miracles. Noise reduction is a balancing act between reducing the unwanted noise and not doing too much damage to the sound that you w...
